At Seoul's Derongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), In November last year, stood a 2-metre high dome flanked by seven individual rooms designed by Milan-based Migliore + Servetto Architects for Max Mara's Coats!, a retrospective look at the Italian house's history through its iconic coats. Inside the towering dome, a digital installation of vibrant patterns set the fundamental visual tone for the exhibition. Titled "Deep Surface", this spectacle of light projections, a remix of imagery from the Max Mara archives and the production process, are Yiyun Kang's latest workings.
