A Spirit-Lifting Botanical Bath Remedy

Other than its intimate retreats scattered around the most tranquil and picture-perfect places the world over, Aman Resorts has always been synonymous to its integrated wellness programme. Aman’s notion of a vacation has always transcended the tangible, equating it to a mental escape from quotidian distractions and into a holistic serenity wherever that may be, from jungle to desert, countryside to city.

While a getaway to one of Aman’s destinations might just have to wait until the pandemic tides over, a cathartic experience of the luxury resort chain’s spa can now be experienced within the four walls of your bathroom. Newly launched this year, Aman Skincare’s ‘Ultimate Bath Set’ is a combination of four products designed to create an immersive spa session at home, including a pack of purifying bath salts, body serum, body mist and body butter made of botanical ingredients like maca, arnica and wild-harvested flowers and herbs. In unprecedented times like this, the luxury of a restorative bath might just be an effective antidote for the nerve-wracked senses. — Bianca Husodo

In uncertain times like this, assurances can come in many forms. For Parisian haute perfumery Maison 21G, assurance takes the shape of not one, but four new bottles of scented hand sanitisers. Marking the label’s first foray into creating delicate sanitisers for the hands, the 2.1 Haute Perfumery Sanitisers is handcrafted with exquisite ingredients in perfumery that have both protective and moisturising properties. The latest hand sanitiser offerings highlight four invigorating and yet equally calming fragrances, including the luxurious scent of powdery ‘Oris & Sweet Vanilla’ or the refreshing whiffs of ‘Sage & Lavender’. Most notably are the other two sanitisers: ‘Basil & Lavatin’ and ‘Vetiver & Lavandin’. Made from 100 per cent essential oils, these two unique offerings proffer a mildly medicinal, but soothing note. Meticulously concocted and encased in a petite glass bottle, the hand sanitisers are compact and ideal while on the go. — Sng Ler Jun

Calming Lavender Scents to Unwind to

The collection includes three different takes on the timeless note of lavender.

Jo Malone London celebrates English lavender in a new limited-edition trio of scents centred around the iconic ingredient. Celine Roux, the global head of fragrance says, “In perfumery, we mainly use French lavender. It is such a familiar, popular scent, so we wanted to explore it in ways that you might not be used to. We’ve taken natural English lavender and gone in three different directions with the other ingredients, to give it that Jo Malone London twist.”

Wisteria & Lavender blends the note with powdery heliotrope and a delicate white musk, while Silver Birch & Lavender gives lavender a crisp coolness by pairing it with woody oak and grapefruit. Finally, Lavender & Coriander plays up the herbaceous note of the flower and adds sage and creamy tonka bean for a warm and sensual scent. The collection also includes a Pillow Mist that is perfect for helping restless sleepers calm down and unwind before bed. — Renée Batchelor
