On Weeknights, a Kitchen Party Up in the Sky

By T: The New York Times Style Magazine Singapore

AndazThe Andaz Kitchen Party takes place twice a week at Alley on 25.

The general consensus that’s somewhat agreed upon by the universal workforce is that midweeks are an achievement. Outlasting the first half of a work week takes dedication. That, on its own, justifies a self-rewarding evening, surely.

Enter: Andaz Hotel’s Kitchen Party. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, Alley on 25 — the all-day oven and grill restaurant nestled up high on the hotel’s 25th floor — transforms into a site for a lively after-work bar feast. From 6pm to 9pm, the kitchen rolls out fridges, fully stocked with free-flow red and white wines, beer, soft drinks and Andaz Pale Ale — a locally brewed ale made in collaboration with microbrewery Red Dot Brewhouse.

Bar bites and finger food are on the house, too. These include the likes of duck rillettes and chicken wings to curated local-made selections of The Cheese Artisans’ rotating variety of cheeses— edam, taleggio, brie and fourme d’ambert — paired with Tiong Bahru Bakery’s sourdough bread.

So when the clock strikes 6, come and have a tipple or three. Gorge yourself happy with cold cuts and cheese-laden fermented bread. Midweek evenings are made for this.

The Andaz Kitchen Party happens at Alley on 25 every Wednesday and Thursday, from 6pm till 9pm, S$50 per person.
